Axyn Fitness — Privacy Policy

Axyn Fitness ("Axyn," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Lumiq Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Axyn Fitness mobile application (the "App"), how we use and store it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it.

By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


The short version


1. Who we are

The App is provided by Lumiq Labs LLC, which is the controller responsible for your personal information. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@axynapp.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information. To use Axyn you create an account with your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not have access to your password. We store your email address, a unique user identifier (UID), your display name (if provided), and your email-verification status. Sign-in is by email and password only.

2.2 Profile and fitness information. Information you enter to set up and use the App, which may include: your age or date of birth, sex, height, body weight, body measurements, fitness goals, activity level, available equipment and training preferences; the workouts and training sessions you log; your nutrition entries and macros; supplements; sleep entries; saved recipes; custom exercises; and achievements and progress milestones.

2.3 Progress photos. If you choose to add progress photos, the image files are stored on your device and uploaded to our cloud storage, associated with your account.

2.4 Apple Health (HealthKit) data. With your permission, the App reads certain Health data — steps, workouts, heart rate, active energy, and distance — to display your activity, and writes workouts and body weight back to Health. See Section 6 for how this data is handled.

2.5 AI feature inputs. When you use AI-powered features, the relevant inputs you provide — such as your profile and goal information, food or meal descriptions, food-scan images, and coach messages — are processed to generate your result. See Section 7.

2.6 Subscription and purchase information. When you subscribe, we receive your subscription status and an application user identifier through RevenueCat. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment card details.

2.7 Device and notification information. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token so we can deliver the notifications you have turned on.

2.8 Support information. If you contact support within the App, we collect the messages and any details you choose to provide so we can respond.

What we do not collect. The App contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry, do not use advertising identifiers, and do not track you across other apps or websites.

5. How and where your information is stored

Your information is stored in our cloud backend, provided by Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore (your profile, workouts, nutrition, supplements, sleep, recipes, custom exercises, AI coach history, summaries, achievements, and photo references), Cloud Storage (progress-photo image files), Cloud Functions (which power AI features and account deletion), and Cloud Messaging (notifications). Your data is stored under your account and identified by your unique user ID.

The App also keeps a local copy of your data on your device so it can work offline and load quickly.

Our service providers process and store data on infrastructure located in the United States. See Section 13 regarding international transfers.

6. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Axyn reads the following Health data to display your activity within the App: steps, workouts, heart rate, active energy, and distance. Axyn also writes your workouts and body weight to Health.

The workout and body-weight values you log or that are derived from Health are stored in your Axyn account in our cloud so they can power your tracking and sync across your devices. We do not upload your full Health record, and we do not store Health data in iCloud.

We never use Health data for advertising or marketing, never sell it, and never disclose it to third parties for their own purposes.

You can review or revoke Axyn's access to Health data at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Axyn Fitness.

7. AI features

Axyn's AI features — including training program and meal generation, food and supplement scanning, coaching guidance, and weekly summaries — work by sending the relevant inputs through our secure backend (a Firebase Cloud Function) to third-party AI providers, whose APIs generate the result that is returned to you.

Depending on the feature, these inputs may include your profile and goal information, food or meal descriptions, food-scan images, and the messages you send to the AI coach. These inputs are processed solely to generate your requested output, under API terms that do not permit your data to be used to train the providers' models.

Please do not submit information through AI features that you do not wish to be processed in this way.

8. Service providers and disclosure of information

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the App, each acting on our behalf:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under California law). We may disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights, and we may transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

9. Data retention and deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App's settings. Account deletion runs on our backend and erases your data stored in Cloud Firestore, your uploaded photos in Cloud Storage, and your authentication record.

Uninstalling the App alone does not delete your cloud data — to remove your data from our systems, use the in-App account deletion. After deletion, residual copies may remain in routine backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

EEA / UK (GDPR). The right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your personal data; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA / CPRA). The right to know about and access the personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@axynapp.com, or use the in-App account deletion to erase your data directly. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Children

Axyn is not directed to, and is not intended for, children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@axynapp.com and we will delete it.

12. Security

We protect your information using encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest provided by our cloud infrastructure, and access controls and security rules that restrict data to your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International users and data transfers

Axyn is operated from, and your information is processed and stored in, the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
